Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC)

is responsible for setting standards and regulating immigration advisers. It also can accept complaints about persons who have given immigration advice and/or services irrespective of whether they are OISC regulated advisers, solicitors, barristers, legal executives or unregulated. The Commissioner has a criminal law enforcement function with regard to those persons who are giving immigration advice and/or services while unregulated.

Office of the Ombudsman (Ireland)

investigates complaints about administrative action, delay or inaction of Government Departments and Offices, Local Authorities, Health Boards and the postal service. A complainant may write, e-mail, telephone or call personally to the Office to submit a complaint. The Ombudsman is also the Information Commissioner and, in that capacity, he reviews the decisions of public bodies in relation to matters covered by the Freedom of Information Act, 1997.
