Mike is the Adjudicator for His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, The Valuation Office Agency and Second Tier Reviewer for the Windrush Compensation Scheme (the Home Office). Prior to that role, he was the Head of Office at the AO.
Mike has worked in ombudsman and dispute resolution schemes throughout his career, starting at the Insurance Ombudsman Bureau. With the merger of private sector schemes into the Financial Ombudsman Service, he held various senior roles including overseeing the FOS’s technical training and leading its Quality Assurance function for mass claims. He was also a practising ombudsman for eight years issuing legally binding decisions.
The thread throughout Mike’s career has been a determination to ensure that the people who use dispute resolution services are treated fairly and receive a service that sets the bar for what good should look like.
