Warren joined the ICO in May 2021 and leads the complaint handling, policy and upstream regulation functions for its Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations services, which this year are celebrating two decades since the legislation’s implementation in 2005. He joined the ICO from the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, where he sat on its Executive Team as Director of Strategy, Insight and Communications and previously worked at the Electoral Commission and in a range of roles in the civil service. He also sits as a non-executive member on the Committee for the Waterways Ombudsman.
